Responsibilities

  • Asists physician in a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures as they pertain to Endovascular cases. Assists with adult diagnostic angiography and interventions.
  • Provides support for and technical assistance in sheath insertion, groin sealant/stabilization, as they pertain to Endovascular procedures.
  • Is a collaborative member of the team, who is expected to function in the roles of scrub, monitor, and x-ray tech using both single and biplane venues.
  • Specializes primarily in Endovascular Surgery, to include Minimally Invasive Guide Wire and Catheter Based Procedures. Provides care to adult and geriatric patient population.

Qualifications

  • Must possess either: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or or completion of a surgical technologist training program and have at least two (2) years experience scrubbing into endovascular procedures.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.


Preferred:

  • Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in endovascular, angiography, or cath lab Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
