The Histology Technologist III will assist Pathology Laboratory Coordinator on technical over sight of one or more laboratory sections to provide technical standardization at all Histology Laboratory sites.

REQUIRED: 1. All applicants shall meet at least one (1) of the following education/experience requirements: a. Successful completion of a formal training in Histology laboratory technology OR Associates Degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, plus four (4) years' experience in a clinical laboratory, OR b. Bachelors' degree in Histology technology, or chemical, physical, or biological sciences, plus successful completion of a specialist certification exam with a total of five (5) years' experience in a pathology lab with 1 year being current at Northside Hospital Inc. in a HT II position. c. Associates Degree plus ten (10) years' experience in a histology clinical laboratory 2. Have state recognized certification as a Histology Technologist within 18 months of employment as a HT in the state of GA. 3. Applicants must demonstrate skills as described in the promotion path guidelines. 4. Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations. 5. Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position 6. All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screening Test. 7. Applicants must have completed Histology technologist training. 8. ASCP certification is required. PREFERRED: 1. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
