Responsibilities

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography and vascular ultrasound tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and vascular ultrasound in accordance with IAC. Travel and work in multiple locations to include hospitals and/or physician offices. Position requires a class 'C' driver's license.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography: . Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) . Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) . Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada . Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

2. Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (BCLS)

3. Intermediate Computer Skills

4. Knowledge of methods, techniques, and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment

5. Ability to perform with proficiency the skills and procedures designated

6. Valid class 'C' driver's license

 

PREFERRED:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Ultrasound Technology 2. Prior professional experience in mobile ultrasound
