Practice Details 

 

Northside Gwinnett Women’s Health is a full-service obstetrics and gynecologic practice serving women at all stages of their lives with excellent health care. Our board-certified obstetricians, gynecologists and physician assistant work closely with each patient to help her achieve her best health possible.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Practice Coordinator/Physician Practice Manager, assists in managing practice operations.  Provides support in the development and implementation of departmental goals. The Supervisor Physician Practice may be assigned to multi-site physician practice as needed to provide operational support to the Practice Coordinator/Physician Practice Manager. 

 

  1. Provides supervision ensuring efficient practice operations for front desk, call center and clinical staff.  Provides appropriate statistical information and monitors required compliance within assigned areas.  Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  2. Develops and conducts new employee orientation to office and provides on-going training materials and reference documents for front-office staff.
  3. Processes and approves payroll related duties.
  4. Develops and maintains work schedules.  Establishes priorities, assigns and monitors work, and audits work flow, approves time off and ensures adequate coverage.
  5. Serves as the practice resource for the various computerized systems and phone systems within the practice to provide assistance and problem resolution.  Refers unresolved issues to appropriate resource or vendor.
  6. Provides oversight for physician schedules and resolves issues as required.  Provides administrative support for physicians as requested.
  7. Serves as on sight representative for HR related issues including policies and benefits.  Consults with appropriate resources as required.
  8. Assists Practice Coordinator with special projects and practice related issues.
  9. Performs duties of front office staff as required.
  10. Provides oversight to clinical staff assigned as required.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  • High School or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in a healthcare/office practice setting.  Must include 6 months at a lead or supervisor level in clinical, scheduling and/or front office operations.  

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  • Prefer experience with healthcare billing, imaging or other systems.
