Telephone Triage Assistant

Responsible for assisting triage nurses in following physicians orders in an administrative capacity. Ensure work flow is smooth and handled in an expedient manner. Work as a team with others in triage department and among the different locations. Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures.

REQUIRED:
1. High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). 2. Three to seven years related experience. 3. Strong administrative skills. 4. Detail oriented and able to recognize and analyze problems. 5. Able to determine and prioritize the urgency of medical problems. 6. Able to communicate clearly with patients over the telephone and in person.
PREFERRED:
1. Possesses a preference for dealing with people who are ill and need help. 2. Displays an outgoing, warm, and helpful attitude. 3. Possesses the tact to deal effectively with patients, guests, co- workers and physicians.
