Overview

Total Joint Specialists, with 8 offices in Midtown Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Braselton, Canton, Cumming, Gainesville, Lawrenceville, and Woodstock, Georgia, offers joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle using state of the art techniques in the industry. The surgeons utilize smaller incisions that cause less muscle injury and blood loss resulting in better recovery times. The team focuses on multimodal pain management to improve the recovery experience and minimize pain.

 

Responsibilities

Develops and administers physical therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients of age groups defined by clinical competency which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.

This position offers the opportunitiy to care for a variety of patients across multiple Total Joint Specialist centers.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.

2. Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.

3. Must be certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.

4. Must have 2 years of licensed clinical experience.

5. Internal candidate must attain 3.25 PE (prior year), no disciplinary action on file, and no red rule violation.
PREFERRED:
1. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other government regulations.
