Our team at Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute-Sports Medicine (NHOI-Sports Medicine) offers comprehensive care and personalized services based entirely around the needs of athletes. As a center for orthopedics and sports medicine, our team takes care of your every need - from injury prevention to performance services and athletic training to orthopedic surgery. We provide services for athletes of all ages, including orthopedic and sports medicine care for children, across a wide range of specialties.

Responsibilities

Operates X-Ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce routine radiographs of designated portions of the human body.

  1. Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
  2. Instructs patients regarding procedures.
  3. Examines radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
  4. Develops and processes radiologic film. Delivers film to requester for reading/interpretation.
  5. Maintains x-ray exam room. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies.
  6. Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures.
  7. Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certified in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  • Prior experience in diagnostic radiology.
