This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of weight loss and bariatric medicine, working with a diverse patient population. These roles will primarily support the Sandy Springs, Duluth, and Cherokee locations.
Details: We’re looking for two registered dietitians. These part-time positions are 32 hours per week and are eligible for full benefits and a pension!
Travel will be split between the two positions, with one RD supporting Sandy Springs and Cherokee, and the other supporting Sandy Springs and Duluth.
In these roles, you will be traveling between locations with Dr. Jyoti Manekar, a board-certified family and obesity medicine specialist with more than 15 years of experience. Dr. Manekar provides specialized care for overweight and obese patients to combat the growing obesity pandemic, the leading cause of numerous illnesses and increasing healthcare costs. She uses a multidisciplinary approach to help her patients achieve their best weight, incorporating nutrition, physical activity, behavioral modifications, medications, and surgery as needed. Dr. Manekar firmly believes in creating personalized plans for each of her patients to address their unique needs.
Prepares and implements nutritional care plans for adult and geriatric patients in accordance with departmental policy and standards of care. Initiates supplements, snacks, calorie counts and consistency changes as part of the patient's individual medical condition. Incorporates current evidence-based research into clinical practice. Acts as a liaison between the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, and other Ancillary Departments. Responsibilities involve providing nutritional counseling to adult and geriatric patients, families, and others as requested.
