This position will primarily work from its Alpharetta location on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from its Midtown location on Thursdays.

 

Our team at Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute-Sports Medicine (NHOI-Sports Medicine) offers comprehensive care and personalized services based entirely around the needs of athletes. As a center for orthopedics and sports medicine, our team takes care of your every need - from injury prevention to performance services and athletic training to orthopedic surgery. We provide services for athletes of all ages, including orthopedic and sports medicine care for children, across a wide range of specialties.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.  Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support card.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

 

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  3. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
