Overview

Northside is currently looking for compassionate Medical Assistants for our clinical float pool! Our float positions offers the opportunity to travel to different Physician Practices within the Northside Network.

 

In this position, we are provinding:

  • Flexible scheduling - pick up two weekday shifts per week. 
  • Coverage zones based on location.
  • Compensation based by years of relevant experience, offers $2/hr incentive for clinical float MAs.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.  Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

 

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  3. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  4. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
