Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or higher nursing degree:
  2. Licensed to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia, in good standing and without limitations.
  3. Minimum of three (5) years full-time experience as a RN.
  4. Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  5. Other REQUIRED cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific. Refer to the specific unit requirements.
  6. National certification in a clinical specialty.
  1. Must meet all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) personnel qualifications and responsibilities requirements for individuals directing or performing non-waived point of care testing as stated in 42 CFR, Part 493, Subpart M.
