Northside Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist will play a critical role in providing psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to any of our 5 campuses. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders in a hospital setting.
This positions is all Telemedicine.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to the hospital for medical or surgical reasons.
Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to provide integrated care for patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions.
Provide crisis intervention and management for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
Educate and support hospital staff on psychiatric issues, including suicide risk assessment, de-escalation techniques, and psychotropic medications.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning meetings as needed.

MD or DO
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Active GA License or the ability to obtain one
Prior experience in Consult Liaison Psychiatry preferred but not required.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
