Directs and coordinates the daily activities of assigned department including budget, personnel, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Acts as a liaison between their assigned department and the referring physician's offices. May work with neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
1. Interviews, trains, orients, counsels, evaluates, and administers disciplinary action.
Recommends hiring decisions and disciplinary actions to manager.
2. Schedules personnel, approves paid time off (PTO) and authorizes time and attendance.
3. Assists Manager with developing and monitoring capital and operating budgets for cost center.
4. Monitors quality of scans and procedures in department. Assists Manager in developing and administering the Quality Improvement Plan and departmental policies and procedures.
5. Reports on equipment, personnel, and other issues through management team meetings and written reports.
6. Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of a Technologist (NM, US or IR).
7. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Manager.
8. Demonstrates service excellence behaviors routinely in encounters with all customers, coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, auxilians, etc.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
1. Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT).
3. Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
4. Certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (CPR and AED) Program
5- THREE (3) YEARS of experience as a Mammo Technologist
