Responsibilities

Develops and monitors the work activities in the Histology Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Special staining area. Performs IHC staining including ISH and Special staining both manually and automative for surgical specimens for patients. Implements, plans, organizes, and staffs the work activities of the Histology Laboratory during each shift to provide laboratory services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
1. All applicants should meet at least one(1) of the following education/experience requirements: a. Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, and 4 years' experience in histology laboratory techniques and procedures, OR b. B.S. degree in Histology 2. Have a state recognized certification 3. Immunohistochemistry in-house training and/or experience 4. Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills. 5. Applicants must demonstrate skills as described in the promotion path guidelines.
PREFERRED:
1. Computer keyboard and information system experience. 2. Immunohistochemistry experience and/or training. 3. Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program

5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
