Overview

The Clinical Evaluator & Ref Coordinator conducts preadmission screenings for Glancy Rehabilitation Center, serves as a liaison between Glancy Rehabilitation Center and physicians, hospital discharge planners and case managers.  The Clinical Evaluator assists with development of the marketing plan for Glancy Rehabilitation Center and provides direct marketing to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts preadmission screenings for Glancy Rehabilitation Center
  • Provides support for the Intake/Discharge Coordinator as needed
  • Serves as a liaison between Glancy Rehabilitation Center and physicians
  • Plans and coordinates community events that represent Glancy Rehabilitation Center
  • Markets the hospital system's services within the community
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with physicians
  • Serves as an information source for community awareness of the Glancy Rehabilitation Center and the hospital system
  • Participates in budget development and cost saving efforts

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations OR hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and licensed as either a LCSW or a LMSW in the State of Georgia
    • Unlicensed individuals will have up to six months from their start date in the role to successfully complete the certification licensure in the State of Georgia for their field.
  2. One year of experience in a medical setting, preferably rehabilitation.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, community resources and marketing theories.
  4. Ability to work independently.
  5. Must possess good verbal and written skills.
