A training position preparing individuals to gain certification. Residents will work under the supervision of a registered MRI technologist in providing MRI exams per physician orders.
Position will offer eligibility for certification after 6 months of approved clinical and didactic experience.
Residents will train for 6 months (26 weeks) in the assigned area. After successful completion of program, the resident will be eligible to apply for the ASRT certification examination.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
2. Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology
3. Current certification in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
4. Willingness to provide direct care to patients of all demographics and those with infectious diseases.
5. Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with various types of patients, visitors, physicians and other personnel.
