Provides support services to severely emotionally disturbed or disabled adult behavioral health clients in order to meet the individual needs of the clients, to coordinate treatment, to assist the client with achieving the best possible functional level, to maximize symptom self-management and to enhancing quality of life and recovery. Provides leadership in the recovery model for staff at all levels.
This position requires experience in the field of neurodevelopmental disabilities that focuses on the spectrum of developmental delays and disabilities that present in children, teens and adults. Experience with the nature and severity of these delays is preferred. This position will assist the ED/Primary teams with initial BHS evaluation, development of interventions to assist with behavior management of this patient type in the ED/hospital setting along with discharge planning. Attending related meetings and providing In-services and trainings to unit staff is also a function of this role. This position reports to the Behavioral Health Services hospital-based team and will assist with the care and management of this patient type system-wide
REQUIRED:
1. Master's degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline with an emphasis on clinical experience.
2. Three years experience past Master's in the mental health field.
3. Licensed as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist), or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
4. Must be CPR certified.
PREFERRED:
1. Prior clinical experience providing outpatient mental health or inpatient psychiatric services.
