Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

 

The 9T Cardiology Medical/Surgical Unit is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, most compassionate care to cardiac patients and their families. This is a 32-bed unit designed to provide 24/7 care to adolescents, adults, and a geriatric patient population with acute illness or varying stages of receperation from dignositc, therapeutic, and/or surgival intervantion. We treat a diversity of patient with alterations of the cardiovascular system, including those with: heart failure, cardiomyopathy, ACS/Angina/Chest Pain, NSTEMI, Coronary Artery Disease, Arrhythmis Dysfunction, perpheral vascular disease, and DVT.

 

Tower Cardiology is also capable of providing care to patients who are post diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac device implant and Electrophysiology study and/or ablation

Qualifications

REQUIRED 1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with one (1) year of nursing experience in area of specialty. 2. Associates Degree with three (3) years' clinical experience OR Bachelor's in Nursing with Two (2) years' clinical experience. 3. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills. 4. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. 5. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). 6. Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required based on department needs. PREFERRED 1. Successful completion of a management course prior to appointment, or within six (6) months of employment.
