Responsibilities

Northside Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by ensuring the financial sustainability of our physician practices. You will be responsible for conducting complex financial analyses, developing and managing physician compensation models, and providing strategic insights to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct complex financial analyses, including financial and operational analyses for new and existing programs, departmental profitability reviews, and strategic planning support focused on improving patient outcomes.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage physician compensation reports, ensuring accurate and timely payments that support the recruitment and retention of top-quality physicians.
  • Develop and manage physician practice profit and loss statements, identifying areas for operational efficiency that can be reinvested in patient care.
  • Construct detailed pro forma financial statements to support new initiatives and expansions that enhance patient access and improve the overall patient experience.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial analysis requests with a proactive and advanced problem-solving approach to address challenges and identify opportunities for improved patient care.
  • Utilize a variety of financial and analytical tools to complete projects, ensuring data accuracy and consistency to support data-driven decisions that improve patient outcomes.
  • Proactively develop improved methods of reporting and analyzing both clinical and financial data to identify areas for quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Mentor and provide training to other staff within the department to foster a culture of financial stewardship that supports high-quality patient care.
  • Plan and execute projects with a high level of autonomy and within tight timeframes to ensure the timely implementation of initiatives that improve patient care.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum four (4) years of corporate finance experience.
  • Experience in the development and management of complex project plans.
  • Experience in training/educating and supervising others.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information.
  • Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, etc.) and experience with other financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
