Responsibilities

Manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the appropriate division.  Nurses at Northside are professionals committed to patients/families and all members of the Healthcare team.  Our nursing practice reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

2. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post- orientation or post-residency training.

3. Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire date into position.

5. Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical-surgical nursing or related area and one (1) year experience involving the treatment of cardiac or critical care patients.

6. Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

7. Please refer to the specific clinical unit for additional education, competencies and/or certifications required as a condition of employment.
