Responsibilities

The Coordinator of Volunteer Services has the primary responsibility for the daily operation of the Auxiliary. The Coordinator has overall responsibility for the planning, administration, control and quality management of department activities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor degree in business, management or field of assigned specialty with extensive experience in the appropriate service. 2. Minimum five (5) years' experience in public relations, customer service, or closely related field in an employee or volunteer capacity. 3. Administrative/management/supervisory experience providing ability to: . work well with all types of people; . plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of a department within and/or across all hospital services; . understand a function or service from the perspective of the individuals or departments served; . establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff, management, physicians, and others; . project the future needs of the department; . analyze and evaluate the impact of internal and external change on department operations . flexibility with people, tasks, and environment; . communicate well, both verbal and written; . maintain membership in professional organizations and attend all appropriate outside educational meetings/conferences.
