Responsibilities

Responsibilities include program development, improvement and promotion within specialty area.  Serves as a liaison for medical staff within specialty area.  Ensures the standard of care within specialty area is current throughout all Rehabilitation locations at Northside Hospital.  Assists leadership to ensure standardization and efficiency within specialty area.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist from the Georgia State Board of the appropriate discipline.
  • For Physical, Occupational,
    • Current Advanced Board Certification in a specialty area recognized by a national accreditation body (American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, American Occupational Therapy Association) in specific discipline. (See Section of Recognized Board Certifications)
    • OR
    • Current Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) recognized by the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute
    • OR
    • Current Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification recognized by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the practice of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy.
  • Must be certified in cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.
  • Internal candidate must attain 3.25 Performance Evaluation (prior year) and no disciplinary action within the last 12 months.
