The Staff Perfusionist is responsible for operation of extra-corporal equipment providing care and/ or support activities appropriate for all ages served. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, Auto transfusion, intra-aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services.

• Graduate of an accredited school of perfusion technology;
• Currently licensed as a Perfusionist in the state of Georgia.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
• BCLS required
• Knowledge of all phases of perfusion services. Must demonstrate clinical competency in the practice of perfusion, as well as qualities of leadership and sound judgment.
• Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades.

PREFERRED:

• Bachelor's degree of Science preferred
• Three (3) years of recent clinical perfusion experience preferred.
