Responsibilities

Coordinates daily activities and distribution of work during scheduled shift.

Monitors work of assigned staff and acts as a professional resource.

May work with neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

 

1. Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Registered Radiologic Technologists for patients of all ages.

2. Prioritizes and sequences radiologic exams.  Coordinates utilization of equipment, examination rooms, and personnel.

3. Assigns and evaluates work.  Contributes to employee's performance evaluation.  Assists in the orientation and training of personnel.

4.  Performs basic trouble shooting of X‑Ray equipment, resolves routine problems and complaints, and refers other matters to Supervisor.

5. Orders routine equipment and supplies as necessary.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:


1. One (1) year previous experience in diagnostic radiology as a technologist.

2. Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with various types of patients, visitors, physicians, and other personnel.

3. Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).


PREFERRED:
Screen Atlanta: In addition to the above, all Lead Radiologic Technologists must have the following: 1. One (1) year prior experience in mammography.
