At Northside Thoracic Surgery, formerly Atlanta Cardiac and Thoracic Surgical Associates, our expert team of thoracic surgeons provides superior surgical care for patients with benign and malignant thoracic conditions. We offer the most advanced thoracic surgical procedures including robotic surgery and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). 

 

Our expert team of specially trained thoracic surgeons, Dr. John Gouldman and Dr. Lee Gerson, provide superior thoracic surgical care to our patients.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, and with medical consultation and direction, performs physical, psycho-social assessment; establishes medical diagnosis; orders and evaluate diagnostic tests; manages follow up care; does other related work as required. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting lab tests and results, along with providing preventative healthcare and counseling.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  1. A college degree as a Physician’s Assistant from a recognized university, affiliated with a medical school
  2. Please refer to the Medical Staff Guidelines for certifications and credentialing applicable to this position. 

PREFERRED

  1. Two to five years of experience with a medical practice setting where diagnosis, treatment and patient education were the main focus of the role
