All of our gynecologist oncologists are part of the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) Gynecologic Cancer Program, a leading provider of gynecologic (GYN) cancer care that treats more cases of cervical cancer than any other community hospital in Georgia. This partnership allows you, the patient, to benefit from the combined expertise of Georgia’s largest network of cancer specialists and gain access to groundbreaking clinical trials. 

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  3. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  4. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
