Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily operations, programming and preventative maintenance of the Security Control Center and associated security systems and equipment. Responsible to ensure adequate security staffing is provided. Assumes operational security management responsibility in absence of Manager of Security. Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

1. B.A. or B.S. degree or Five (5) years of security control room & system maintenance experience.

2. Knowledge of Lenel Access Control System and CCTV, VCR and digital recorders.

3. Demonstrated knowledge of master keying and key control principles.

4. Three (3) years prior supervisory experience with Hospital Security/Safety, Fire, Police, Military Police, Ambulance/EMT, or similar occupation.

5. Must demonstrate complete knowledge and application of Security, Safety, or Law Enforcement techniques and procedures.

6. Must possess excellent public relations and customer service skills, and must possess effective written and oral communication skills.

7. Current/Valid Driver's License (new GA residents must obtain valid GA Driver's License within 90 days of hire).

 

PREFERRED:

1. Investigative abilities or experience.

2. International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Certification preferred, but will train and certify as necessary.
