Responsibilities

The Supervisor of Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center oversees the clinical practice and patient care delivery, and has accountability, authority and responsibility for the daily CVDC operations. Duties include management of human, fiscal and material resources and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and regulations.  Areas of responsibility include all outpatient cardiovascular diagnostic services including, but not limited to, Echo, Nuclear Cardiology, Stress, Clerical and PET/CT. The Supervisor provides care to an adult and geriatric patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
  • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  1. An appropriate credential in vascular testing:
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)]

 

  1. Five (5) years Patient Care and Cardiology experience with at least two (2) years in a   supervisory or managerial capacity.
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  3. Must obtain American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 12 months of hire date
