Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinical area within Women's Services (i.e., Labor & Delivery, High Risk Perinatal, Special Care Nurseries and/or Family Centered Care Department, etc.). Must be capable of independent judgement and decision making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs. Effectively manages all resources assigned to cost centers. Collaborates with the Operations Manager of Family Centered Care to accomplish departmental objectives. Has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for assigned area.
REQUIRED:
1. B.S. degree in Nursing and a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 2. Good written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED:
1. Master's degree in Nursing. 2. Two (2) years clinical experience in labor and delivery.
